Rey Galac 2026 Finalist

Executive Vice President at Bird Infrastructure

Bird Infrastructure

Rey is an exceptional leader whose impact at Bird Infrastructure has shaped the company for nearly two decades. He’s also an inspiring success story. Joining in 2007 as a Junior Estimator, Rey steadily progressed through the roles of Estimator, Chief Estimator, Vice President, and now Executive Vice President—contributing significantly to the company’s growth at every stage. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding Bird through a period of major expansion, from helping establish the organization’s Atlantic Canada operations to contributing to its remarkable revenue growth from approximately $30 million annually to over $100 million. Colleagues say Rey possesses an extraordinary combination of technical mastery, industry insight, and people-first leadership that is truly unmatched. His understanding of project scopes—far beyond mechanical—is exceptional. They can dissect a project within minutes, accurately identify complex challenges, and navigate specifications with a level of clarity and precision that few in the industry can replicate. Here’s how one voter put it: “He’s the official go-to guy-the fixer, the helper, the ‘call Rey, he’ll know’ guy.”

What voters said

"It's hard to put into words the impact that Rey has on staff. He pushes everyone to be their best and get out of their comfort zone. He cares deeply and wants to see everyone grow and improve. "
