Best career advice
Focus on building trust through integrity, humility, and honest communication. Don’t shy away from challenges or conflict. Address them early and respectfully while they are still manageable. Remember that the job is the boss. When leaders treat owners, consultants, and trades as equal partners, collaboration strengthens and great projects follow.
What do you like most about your current job?
As Project Risk Analyst I enjoy helping teams gain clarity early and navigate challenges together. Moving from Senior Project Manager into this new role at Maple Reinders has been humbling and rewarding, allowing me to build trust, support teams, and strengthen a proactive risk culture.

Brendan Farquhar 2026 Finalist

Project Risk Analyst at Maple Reinders

Maple Reinders

Brendan Farquhar has a knack for seeing around corners. He sees storms far off in the distance and then calmly builds a plan so they don’t throw a project off course.  After nine years at Maple Reinders (working his way from Project Coordinator to Senior Project Manager), a stint with another GC, and a return to Maple as a Project Risk Analyst, he’s now applying that hard-earned field and PM experience at a national level. What people appreciate most is how he brings others along. Brendan doesn’t just flag risks. He teaches teams how to think about them. This includes how to forecast, pressure-test scenarios, and communicate clearly and respectfully when things get complicated. If his impact at Maple Reinders can be summed up in one word, it’s this: positivity.
