The Whole Story:
Simpcw Resources Group (SRG), the economic development corporation of the Simpcw First Nation, has acquired majority ownership of the Paradigm Group of Companies to expand its regional forestry, manufacturing, and off-site homebuilding operations.
The transaction, effective Oct. 2, 2026, integrates Paradigm’s precision-engineered building panel systems directly into Simpcw’s regional timber and wood processing supply chains across Simpcwúlecw (Simpcw traditional territory). Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
Under the partnership, SRG aims to link sustainable forest management with secondary wood manufacturing to produce climate-resilient, fire-resistant, and energy-efficient building panels. The company stated the integrated value chain will cut material waste, expand regional prefabrication manufacturing, and generate skilled employment within local First Nations communities.
“This is an important step forward for Simpcw and our vision for a strong, self-sufficient future,” Kukpi7 (Chief) George Lampreau said in a statement. “We want to see our resources create meaningful opportunities for our people, while ensuring that the land continues to be cared for with the respect and responsibility that guide us. This investment is about building long-term economic strength.”
The acquisition enables Paradigm to scale its precision-built panel manufacturing while retaining its existing operating and management personnel.
“Joining the Simpcw Resources Group family is a natural fit,” said Madison Hall, Chief Executive Officer of Paradigm Group. “SRG’s stewardship of the land and Paradigm’s precision-built panels share the same goal: quality housing built in and for our communities. Our clients will see the same trusted team, now with a stronger foundation and more opportunity ahead.”
SRG’s existing business portfolio spans heavy civil construction, aggregate production, trucking, forestry, and environmental services across south-central British Columbia.
