Procore names COMPASS preferred prequalification solution

Key Takeaways:

  • Procore has named Bespoke Metrics’ COMPASS as its preferred subcontractor prequalification solution, launching the “Prequal for All” integration.
  • Subcontractors complete a single COMPASS profile to generate a “Q Score” that feeds directly into Procore’s project bidding and awarding workflows.
  • The partnership leverages Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards, with plans to release an agentic AI prequalification tool later this year.

The Whole Story:

Bespoke Metrics announced an expanded partnership with construction management software developer Procore Technologies, Inc., designating COMPASS as Procore’s preferred subcontractor prequalification solution.

The integration launches “Prequal for All,” making the COMPASS prequalification framework directly available across the Procore ecosystem. Under the standardized model, trade subcontractors fill out a single operational and financial profile on COMPASS, which can be shared with selected general contractors. COMPASS evaluates subcontractor financial, safety, insurance, and operational metrics to generate a standardized “COMPASS Q Score” alongside risk-recommended prequalification thresholds.

Through the integrated platform, general contractor risk management teams establish baseline standards and manage exceptions within COMPASS, while project teams view real-time qualification scores directly inside Procore during bid evaluation and contract awards. Subcontractors retain control over data permissions, ensuring confidential financial statements remain secured within COMPASS while prequalification outcomes export to Procore.

“Prequalification is a critical risk management function that demands purpose-built tools and a data-rich platform,” said Geoff Lewis, Senior Vice President of Product at Procore. “By deepening our partnership with Bespoke Metrics… we are able to replace passive, static forms with active, modern risk intelligence.”

The software integration utilizes the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to facilitate artificial intelligence data exchange between the systems. Bespoke Metrics and Procore are also developing an AI-driven “COMPASS Risk Agent” expected to launch later this year to automate prequalification tracking throughout the procurement workflow.

Michael Ho, Founder and CEO of Bespoke Metrics, noted that establishing an independent construction credit score streamlines procurement for both general contractors and qualified trade partners.
