Mindy Youngs has stepped into her new role as Senior Director, Event Marketing Operations at Procore, where she will focus on scaling and connecting event planning, execution, and measurement across the portfolio.

Johnny Ketchum is now the Director of Innovation & Technology at Hall.

John Ball is now Modular and Prefabrication Design Manager at Kalesnikoff.

The Vancouver Regional Construction Association has elected its new board leadership, including Scott Adkins (PCL Construction) as Chair, Regina Marklund (Turner Construction | Canada) as Past Chair, and Mike Wallis (Flynn Group of Companies) as Vice Chair, alongside new members Jerrylynn McCann (Raicor Contracting Ltd.), Ellisha Mott (Mott Electric), Danielle Savioz (Victaulic), and Tyler VanderHoek (GB Group Recycling Ltd.).

Caitlin Hartigan has been elected as a Board Member representing education at Skills Canada BC, where she will support young people in discovering their strengths and talents at a provincial level.

Melissa Haresign, P.Eng., has been promoted to head of the water resources department at KGS Group in Winnipeg. Haresign joined KGS in 2012 and has led hydraulic analyses for hydroelectric studies, conducted dam safety reviews, and mentored junior staff members.

Sunita Chander has been appointed Chief Strategy and Operations Officer at Invest Ontario. She brings more than 20 years of public sector leadership experience across energy, finance and procurement, most recently serving as Chief Strategy, Programs and Partnership Officer at Supply Ontario.

Amr Raway is now Regional BIM/VDC Manager at Graham Construction.

Irwin Bess has been appointed as the new Executive Director at BuildForce Canada, effective March 2, 2026. He brings extensive national experience in labour market analysis, economic policy, and digital transformation, with a strong track record in the construction and maintenance sectors.

Paul Demeule has joined Pomerleau Buildings West as MEP Operations Manager for Western Canada, working alongside Stéphan Lacombe to support the company’s growth in Western Canada.

Jan van Bruggen is starting an additional position as Vice President, Traffic Products at The Universal Group.

With 35 years of experience leading multi-trade operations across Canada and international markets, Trewern will support Bird’s growth across Nova Scotia, focusing on strategic planning, operational delivery, business growth, and financial performance.

Matthew Visconti is now Director of Operations at Barton Malow.

Hady Youssef is now Manager of Estimating and Project Coordination at Borger Group of Companies.

Trevor Doucette of the Synergy Group of Companies has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Construction Association’s 2026-2027 term, succeeding Francis Roy of Humaco Group.

Jeff Lyash has been appointed to Aecon’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. With four decades of nuclear and power industry experience, Lyash will stand for election as a Director at the company’s Annual General Meeting on June 1.

Leslie Mihalik has been appointed President of Ashco and the Associated Engineering group of companies, effective June 27, 2026. He brings over 35 years of engineering experience, including 25 years with Associated Engineering.

Nicole Vincent is now Vice President at Turnbull Construction Project Managers Ltd.

Ken Devlin has been promoted to Vice President of Construction at Astra Group. In this role, he will lead the company’s office-to-residential conversions and adaptive reuse projects contributing to the revitalization of Downtown Calgary.

Cayley Van Hemmen has been promoted to Business Manager of Turner Construction Company’s Vancouver Business Unit, effective March 11th upon her return from maternity leave.

George Wadsworth has been appointed President of Pitbull Energy Services. Wadsworth brings over three decades of leadership experience in the energy services sector, with previous roles including President and CEO of Canary Biofuels and Executive Vice President of Drilling and Production Services at SECURE Energy Services.

Lorne Sobczyk has joined the Calgary Construction Association as Program Manager for Tailgate Toolkit. Sobczyk brings over two decades of experience supporting individuals in recovery from mental health and substance use challenges, and previously pioneered the Tailgate Toolkit program with the Vancouver Island Construction Association.

Dawn Paquette has joined Turner Construction Company as Vice President & Chief Information Officer. She brings more than 30 years of experience leading information systems organizations.

Jason Towers has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Strategic Operations at Chandos Construction. Towers joined the company in 2011 as a Project Manager and has since held roles including Operations Manager in Red Deer, supporting teams across the country including Kelowna.

Jayeful Islam has joined the Calgary Construction Association team. With a background in policy writing, political analysis, and relationship building, Islam brings professional experience spanning the private, government, and non-profit sectors
