Joint venture wins Highway 11 interchange project in B.C.
Jacob Bros Construction, Hall Constructors and EBC are partnering on the work.

The Metro Vancouver (Infrastructure) Partnership (MVP), a joint venture of Jacob Bros Construction, Hall Constructors and EBC, has been selected by the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Transit to deliver the Highway 11 Interchange Project.
The project will replace the Highway 11/Highway 1 interchange and the Highway 1 overpass over Riverside Road, widen Highway 1 to include HOV/EV lanes, bus-on-shoulder lanes and a westbound truck climbing lane, upgrade intersections along Highway 11, add new truck parking facilities, and enhance active transportation connections including multi-use paths, sidewalks and bike lanes. The work addresses growing traffic volumes and safety concerns on a vital regional corridor.
Jacob Bros Construction, based in Surrey, B.C., brings heavy civil and design-build expertise on complex public infrastructure projects and access to a large equipment fleet. Hall Constructors, a Langley-based firm, specializes in highways, road structures and large-scale excavation in challenging urban environments. EBC contributes decades of infrastructure delivery experience, including major hydroelectric projects for BC Hydro and tunneling work on the Stanley Park Water Supply Tunnel Project.
“MVP will apply advanced engineering solutions during construction to minimize traffic disruptions and improve construction efficiency,” the partnership said in a news release.
The project is expected to improve traffic flow, enhance safety and support economic growth in the Fraser Valley. No project cost, timeline or completion date was disclosed in the announcement.
