JCB Construction 2024 Winner

Fear of trying new things holds many back. But not JCB. The Quebec-based contractor recently pioneered the use of Urban Umbrella scaffolding in Canada. They also introduced a completely new approach to high-density building envelope refurbishment.They proposed using a sheltered work platform, suspended from the roof and raised by a patented lifting system, instead of traditional elevated working platforms or flying platforms. This has attracted the attention of leading international firms, such as PCL and Kajima, who have visited JCB’s worksite to learn more.
