First class of Site Service Awards finalists announced
The new awards program highlights the men and women behind Canada’s biggest builds.

The finalists of our first ever Site Service Awards program have finally been revealed.
You can see their faces and learn more about all of them, including fun facts submitted by their coworkers, here.
From the jobsite to the boardroom, these awards celebrate the diverse talent that shapes and strengthens the construction industry. This year’s exceptional finalists are making an impact across our industry. The finalists spanned many generations, professions, provinces and levels of seniority. What they all had in common was elevating the construction process in profound ways.
“There are so many talented men and women who work together to build this country,” said Brett Rutledge, Co-Founder of SiteMedia. “With these awards, we want to not only celebrate these outstanding individuals, but highlight the adventure and diversity of careers in construction to the next generation of Canadian workers.”
The Site Service Awards were created to recognize outstanding individuals across the construction industry who demonstrate excellence, leadership, and dedication to their craft. Finalists were divided into 8 categories:
- Engineering & Design
- Health & Safety
- People & Culture
- Professional & Technical Expertise
- Project & Operations Leaders
- Tech & Innovation
- Trades & Field
- Marketing & Business Development
One winner from each of the categories will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced at an awards ceremony on Feb. 26th, 2026 in Vancouver. A limited number of tickets to attend this event have opened up to the public and more information can be found here.
Judges for this year’s competition include Jesse Unke (Partner of MNP’s consulting team in Vancouver), Tannis Liviniuk (CEO, Liviniuk Group), Kenny Leon (Vice President Member Services and Technology at the Canadian Construction Association) and Russell Hixson (Editor of SiteNews).
We will also be producing a special magazine to highlight the winners through photography and storytelling. Not only will this publication honour the finalists and winners, but we are proudly donating copies to high schools and colleges across the country to show students the true potential of a career in construction.
