CALIBRATED event launches to support female leaders in the industrial sector

SiteMedia is creating a new space for female leaders in the industrial space to develop the skills they need to succeed.

This spring, CALIBRATED is launching in Vancouver to bring together senior women leaders from technical and industrial sectors — including construction, infrastructure, building, energy, water, environment, and resources — for a one-day immersive program focused not on simply inspiring leadership capacity, but resourcing it.

Organizers say they want attendees to walk away with real tools that can be deployed in the industry. Unlike traditional women’s leadership conferences that emphasize motivation or visibility, CALIBRATED aims to arm women with practical, physiological, and systems-level tools to facilitate leadership under sustained pressure — without burnout.

“After years of attending women’s events that lacked real solutions for leaders in male-dominated industries. I knew we needed a change,” says Corinne Lynds, Co-Founder, CALIBRATED and Chief Content Officer, SiteMedia. “CALIBRATED is designed for women who are ready to stop ‘fitting in’ and start leveraging their natural superpowers to lead high-functioning teams with confidence.”

Thriving rather than just surviving

At the core of CALIBRATED is a shift away from the culture of resilience, grit, and grind. Instead it promotes a deeper understanding of how leadership performance is shaped by physiology, nervous system regulation, hormonal health, and embodied presence.

Rather than asking women to push through pressure, CALIBRATED equips participants with practical tools to expand their capacity, regulate stress in real time, and lead with greater clarity, authority, and sustainability.

Participants will explore:

  • Why high-performing leaders often encounter burnout as their impact scales — and how to interrupt the cycle
  • How the nervous system, vagus nerve, gut-brain axis, and hormonal shifts directly influence focus, decision-making, and communication
  • Executive presence as a physiological and relational skill, not a performative one
  • How intuition and embodiment function as strategic assets in complex, high-risk environments

Designed for real-world results

The CALIBRATED agenda isn’t about just about raising awareness or identifying challenges. It blends expert-led sessions, facilitated integration, and applied connection, all curated to ensure insights translate into achievable action.

Program highlights include:

  • Keynote:The Expansion Shift: Leading Beyond the Capacity Ceiling with executive coach Shauna Moran, examining the Leadership Constriction Cycle and how to lead at scale (without depletion)
  • Workshop:Command the Room: Executive Presence & The Art of Connection with communications expert Lucas Mattiello, focused on authority, clarity, and shifting patterns of minimization so women leaders can expand beyond them
  • Workshop:The Biological Edge: Mastering Your Internal Dashboard with clinical nutritionist Emma Ford, bridging neuroscience, hormonal health, and real-time regulation
  • Panel Discussion:The Blueprint of Power: Leading with Intuition and Authenticity, featuring senior executives across industrial sectors
  • Closing Integration: A facilitated session translating the day’s insights into a structured 90-day leadership action plan (that attendees will actually feel called to implement)

Throughout the day, participants will also have access to The Activation Lab — a series of curated, one-on-one consultations designed to support leadership presence, alignment, and grounding into professional identity.

“We created CALIBRATED because women in high-pressure industries need more than just inspiration — they need a roadmap and real tools that will make tangible in their life and leadership,” says Shauna Moran, Co-Founder, CALIBRATED and Founder, Shauna Moran Coaching. “Every element of the day is designed to offer leaders real tools to expand their capacity, master presence, and lead with confidence.”

Deep connections

CALIBRATED is designed to foster meaningful connection, not surface-level networking. A facilitated networking lunch will group participants by shared goals and leadership contexts, ensuring conversations are relevant, candid, and strategically valuable.

Lynds and Moran drew on decades in high-stakes leadership roles to carefully craft the day’s mission and agenda. They recognized that traditional women’s leadership events often inspire, but rarely equip. Their goal is to introduce concrete ways to remain grounded and expansive in demanding roles, so innate leaders can thrive — not in spite of being women, but because they are women.
