Nuframe acquires AJ Construction
Nuframe Group has acquired AJ Construction as part of its long-term growth strategy, significantly expanding its footprint across British Columbia and Western Canada while increasing its workforce to more than 250 employees. The deal strengthens Nuframe’s presence in Interior markets such as Kamloops and Kelowna and enhances its capabilities by integrating AJ Construction’s forming expertise with Nuframe’s established framing operations.
Milltron Electron launches new division
Milltron Electric Inc. has announced the launch of Milltron Mechanical, a new division designed to provide fully integrated electrical and mechanical solutions. Led by President Jeff Chappell and Vice President Nelson Bell, the expansion aims to better support the forestry and forest products industry, alongside other industrial sectors across North America. Building on its roots in Prince George and its presence in Western Canada and the United States, Milltron Mechanical will focus on delivering comprehensive services including mechanical, electrical, and programming support to help partners build and operate with confidence.
Minto, Crestpoint form join venture
Minto Group and Crestpoint Real Estate Investments have formed a programmatic joint venture to acquire Minto Apartment REIT in a take-private transaction valued at $2.3 billion. Under the agreement, Crestpoint will acquire all outstanding trust units for $18.00 per unit, while Minto retains a significant equity interest. The partnership creates a leading Canadian multi-family platform focused on long-term ownership and development of purpose-built rentals in major markets like Toronto, Vancouver, and Ottawa. Minto will continue providing property, development, and construction management services for the portfolio.
Cooper launches Golden Equipment campaign
Cooper Equipment Rentals has partnered with Skyjack to launch its fifth annual Golden Equipment campaign, introducing nine golden telehandlers, a gold trench shield, and a golden pump to its fleet. This nationwide initiative supports local community programs with a focus on children’s and family mental health, aiming to raise $150,000 in 2026. Since its inception in 2022, the campaign has raised over $575,000. The transition to Skyjack telehandlers replaces the previous golden excavators as part of Cooper’s commitment to maintaining a modern rental fleet.
Nors Canada transitions to national leadership
Nors Canada is transitioning to a unified national leadership structure for its Canadian operations, consolidating its Eastern and Western divisions under a single CEO. Effective March 1, 2026, Sudhanshu Singh will assume the role of CEO for the entire national operation, following a transition period with outgoing Western Canada CEO Colin Matejka. This strategic restructuring aims to streamline decision-making and improve service coordination across the construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors, where Nors represents major brands including Volvo Construction Equipment and Case Construction.
John Deere acquires tech firm
John Deere has reached an agreement to acquire Tenna, a New Hope, Pennsylvania-based construction technology firm specializing in mixed-fleet equipment operations and asset-tracking solutions. Tenna’s cloud-based platform automates jobsite workflows, providing contractors with real-time visibility into equipment utilization and maintenance needs. Following the acquisition, which is expected to close in February 2026, Tenna will continue to operate as an independent business under its own brand. This move allows John Deere to enhance its digital capabilities and offer more comprehensive fleet management tools to its construction customers.
ITI joins Trystar
ITI Powered (ITI) has announced it is joining Trystar, a provider of custom electrical power resiliency solutions. This move aims to enhance ITI’s delivery of low and medium voltage switchgear and end-to-end services across North America by leveraging Trystar’s scale and locations. Since its founding in 2018, ITI has expanded its in-house model to include design, engineering, and commissioning, recently opening a new facility in Arlington, Texas. The partnership is expected to accelerate growth and innovation for both companies throughout 2026.
Turner launches equipment rental company
Turner Construction Company has launched First Equipment Company (FEC), a centralized equipment rental and site services organization. This strategic expansion aims to simplify how projects source and manage essential equipment, ranging from heavy machinery to site power, lighting, trailers, and fencing. Led by Josh Ehlers, FEC is designed to support Turner’s projects, teams, and partners by providing a streamlined approach to equipment logistics and site services. Bridgemans expands global floatel fleet
Bridgemans Services Group has expanded its global fleet with the addition of the Mega X, a 275-cabin floatel designed to meet the growing demand for early works workforce accommodations. The vessel is purpose-configured to support large-scale industrial LNG and energy construction projects worldwide. This strategic acquisition enhances Bridgemans’ capacity to provide specialized marine services and housing solutions for major infrastructure developments, ensuring efficient and comfortable onsite living for crews in remote or high-demand locations.

BPA announces merger with Core Engineering
BPA has entered a strategic merger with St. John’s-based Core Engineering, bringing the firm’s 15 professionals into its Atlantic Canada operations. This acquisition marks BPA’s ninth merger in three years and strengthens its regional presence alongside existing offices in Halifax and Sydney. Core Engineering’s leadership team will remain in place, with several principals becoming shareholders in BPA. The acquisition brings 200 employees across Tetranex’s Calgary headquarters and offices in Grande Prairie and Lethbridge, Alberta into the Englobe fold.
