  • The company aims to accelerate its growth and change project management by integrating design, world-class manufacturing, and project management supported by leading AI.

The Whole Story:

Vancouver-based Siwash Rock Investments has completed an agreement with Stack Modular for a “foundational investment” in the Stack Modular group of companies. Representing the fourth private market transaction for Siwash Rock in the past two years, the firm says the move continues its mandate to support the next generation of entrepreneurs with growth capital.

“For over 15 years, Stack Modular has been leading the charge to revolutionize niche segments of the construction sector where an integrated approach to construction projects can provide cost effective, timely and consistent quality solutions,” wrote Siwash’s CEO, Ted Reid. “Stack has been successful in deploying its products in urban and remote areas for institutional, residential, commercial and healthcare markets across the globe.” “

Reid noted that with historical sales in nine figures, Stack Modular is at an inflection point to accelerate its growth from the consistent investment in improved processes, systems and people.

Siwash Rock stated it has been impressed with the dedicated, professional leadership team led by Jim Dunn in place at Stack.

“Together, Stack is fundamentally changing how project owners can manage their construction projects with the integration of engineering design, architectural design, world class manufacturing and project management all supported by use of leading AI,” said Reid. “Stack’s customers can expect projects on time and on budget when a detailed design-build approach can be embraced.”

Founded in 2009 by Dunn, an engineer and architect, Stack Modular is a North American-owned design-build firm specializing in large-scale structural steel volumetric modular construction. The company serves the residential, hospitality, commercial, institutional, and resource sectors by designing and manufacturing highly customized, durable steel-frame modules capable of being stacked up to 40 stories high.

To bridge the gap between Western engineering standards and cost-efficient global manufacturing, Stack Modular operates three state-of-the-art, CSA-certified fabrication facilities in Shanghai, China, totaling over 750,000 square feet of production space. Through a major turnkey partnership with Bird Construction, the company manages projects from initial architectural conception to on-site delivery and installation, drastically shortening construction timelines and mitigating project risks for developers across North America.

Siwash Rock Investments Inc. is a privately held investment holding corporation named after the famous volcanic sea stack landmark located in Stanley Park in Vancouver. Operating primarily as an investment vehicle, the company engages in cross-border capital deployment, asset management, and international corporate trade and trust agreements.

Because it operates as a private enterprise rather than a public-facing retail brand, its specific portfolio remains confidential; however, regulatory financial filings show that its capital reach extends internationally into institutional trust divisions and global markets. The company utilizes its private capital structures to manage strategic investments, bridging corporate operations between Canadian financial hubs and foreign commercial ventures.
