The Canada Investment Summit 2026, taking place September 14–15 in Toronto, Ontario, is a first-of-its-kind gathering hosted by the Prime Minister alongside CPP Investments and PSP Investments to catalyze $1 trillion in total investment over five years.
Designed as a practical forum to showcase Canada’s G7-leading banking stability, highly educated workforce, and vast free-trade network, the summit brings together global investors, Canadian CEOs, and public sector leaders to accelerate long-horizon capital into productive assets.
By focusing on nation-building initiatives, high-tech sectors like quantum technology, and commercial opportunities, the event aims to drive job creation, enhance supply-chain integration, and solidify Canada’s position as a top-tier global destination for foreign direct investment.
Here are the 50 biggest projects being highlighted at the summit:
50. PLS Project ($1.66 Billion CAD)
The PLS Project is an advanced high-grade uranium development centered on the Triple R deposit in Saskatchewan. The project has received environmental assessment approval, has its CNSC licence application under review, and is progressing FEED alongside Indigenous engagement agreements.
49. Port Infrastructure Modernization Project ($1.67 Billion)
The Port Infrastructure Modernization Project is an initiative to rehabilitate and optimize port assets, intermodal operations, and deep-water docks at the Port of Québec. It is currently in advanced planning and early execution.
48. The Alberta Project ($1.76 Billion)
The Alberta Project is a sustainable fuels and carbon removal initiative designed to convert forestry residuals into renewable natural gas. The project is actively in the FEED stage.

13. Commercial Low-Carbon-Intensity Synthetic Gasoline ($8.78 Billion)
This project entails constructing two commercial-scale Blue Gasoline facilities in Alberta that convert natural gas into low-carbon synthetic gasoline using carbon capture technology. 11. Prairie Link High Speed Rail ($10.9 Billion)
Prairie Link High Speed Rail is a proposed passenger rail line between Calgary and Edmonton capable of speeds exceeding 300 km/h and transit times of around 90 minutes. It is currently in Stage 3 of its Project Development Agreement, with a Final Investment Decision targeted for December 2027.
10. Woodfibre LNG Expansion ($13.37 Billion)
The Woodfibre LNG Expansion is a proposed phased expansion of an existing LNG export facility near Squamish, British Columbia, aimed at serving global demand for lower-emission energy. The initiative is currently in the concept stage.
9. The EVREC Green Energy Hub ($14.31 Billion)
The EVREC Green Energy Hub is an integrated green hydrogen and renewable ammonia facility in Newfoundland and Labrador that combines wind, solar, battery storage, electrolysis, and export infrastructure. It is currently in the FEED stage.
8. Redcliff AI Data Center Campus ($14.50 Billion)

7. TransPod Alberta Corridor ($22.00 Billion)
The TransPod Alberta Corridor is an ultra-high-speed transit project designed to connect Calgary and Edmonton with zero direct emissions, moving passengers and cargo at speeds over 1,000 km/h. It is currently under a Request for Expression of Interest review with the Alberta government.
6. Kino Aski LNG ($31.05 Billion)
Kino Aski LNG is a proposed cross-Canada LNG export project that seeks to connect Western Canadian natural gas supplies to an export facility at the Port of Baie-Comeau in Québec. The project is currently in its Pre-Application stage.
5. West Coast Oil Pipeline ($35.00 Billion)
The West Coast Oil Pipeline is a proposed 1,250-kilometre pipeline and marine terminal aimed at connecting Alberta crude production directly to a deepwater export facility in southern British Columbia. The project has secured key environmental clearances and major offtake agreements as it moves through advanced permitting toward being shovel-ready.

Novatron Energy is a clean energy platform that combines approximately 10 GW of onshore and offshore wind generation with two HVDC transmission corridors connecting Atlantic Canada to Quebec. The project is currently in its primary development stage.

Wind West is a proposed offshore wind and transmission development in Nova Scotia designed to deliver up to 5 GW of offshore wind generation and roughly 24 TWh of clean electricity annually. The initiative is currently progressing through early feasibility and pre-development activities.

The Port of Churchill Plus is a major infrastructure initiative designed to transform Manitoba’s Port of Churchill into a four-season trade gateway through an LNG export corridor, rail upgrades, port modernization, and new all-weather road access.
